Elaine Severino reports that we have lost a friend in our neighborhood. Long-time Porter Square resident Bob Lewis, of 101 Elm Street in Somerville, died suddenly this past Monday. A memorial service will be held 2PM Wednesday March 10 at Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington. | ||

Lesley University welcomes Massachusetts State Representative Marie St. Fleur for a conversation on “Building Haiti Differently.” This takes place at 6:30 p.m. in the Amphitheatre in University Hall, 1815 Massachusetts Avenue. This event is free and the public is cordially invited. Representative St. Fleur is the first Haitian-born American elected to State office in the nation, and has been a leader on relief efforts since the devastating earthquake. | ||
