Linnaean Street Roadway Work
2nd Meeting to be held Thursday October 15, 2009
Linnaean Street between Raymond Street and Massachusetts Avenue is scheduled for roadway work in the summer of 2010.
Based on neighborhood requests for traffic calming, The City of Cambridge has begun a series of community meetings to work with residents to discuss possible physical changes to the road that could slow vehicles and increase pedestrian safety. The first community meeting was held on September 30, 2009 where residents discussed their concerns regarding Linnaean Street (A list of the concerns will be available at the meeting).
The focus of this meeting will be to discuss the design tools available to address the concerns expressed by residents. A third meeting will be scheduled for later this year.
