The Cambridge Planning Board will conduct a public hearing on the Lutz petition, to rezone most of the north side of Richdale Avenue between Walden Street and Upland Road from C-1A to Residence C-1. The final move of the church forward 24 feet and lowering onto the foundation is scheduled to occur this coming Tuesday, December 10th. The actual move will begin as soon as the move contractor has completed preparations and is ready.
Please remember to vote next Tuesday in the special election to fill the 5th Congressional District seat in the US House of Representatives. This should be the last of our long series of by-elections this year.
The results of the October 15 primary mean the finalists are State Senator Katherine Clark (D) and businessperson Frank Addivinola (R). This is the sole race on the ballot December 10.
The move of the historic church has been delayed, and the updated schedule is as follows: The move is scheduled to begin this Thursday, Dec. 5th at 8 a.m., and it will take between two and four hours.
We are chronicling this milestone in the Lunder Arts Center project with time-lapse photography, which we plan to post before long to the www.lesley.edu/artsconstruction web page.
We will continue to update you if there are any changes as the move approaches.
Regards,
George
