Please join Food for Free to help support local food security.
Party Under the Harvest Moon benefits FFF's Produce Rescue Program, which ensures access to high quality, nutrient-rich food for local families. Food for Free collects fresh food (with an emphasis on produce) that would otherwise go to waste and redistributes it through the emergency food system to reach those who need it--"bridging the gap between waste and want." Food for Free works with 75 agencies, mostly in Cambridge and Somerville, that serve approximately 20,000 people monthly at food pantries, homeless shelters, senior centers, afterschool programs, etc.. Last year, FFF delivered over 875,000 pounds of food (see www.foodforfree.org for more program information.)
