January 2009 PSNA Meeting

By admin , 17 December 2008

Location: North Cambridge Senior Center, 2050 Massachusetts Avenue

AGENDA

Postal Customer Advisory Group

Given the interest in the operation of the post office over the years, you have a chance to make your voice heard. The Cambridge Postal Advisory Group is looking for members, and Postmaster Katherine Lydon will tell us all about it.

Lesley University

The master plan for the Lesley University campus is complete at last. This plan reflects the vision for long-term development, including the Sears/Porter Exchange/University Hall building, the Art Institute of Boston project, and the eventual fate of various surface parking lots.

Lesley will also update us on the status of its petition to create the Lesley Porter Overlay District, which is now before the City Council. Draft documents are attached (see below).

Ears to the Ground

Share your own news about what's happening around Porter Square.

Here are two documents describing the proposed zoning amendment that would create a "Lesley Porter Overlay District" encompassing all of Lesley's Property in the vicinity of Porter Square. In addition to the draft zoning amendment, there is a proposed list of commitments Lesley is willing to make if the zoning proposal is adopted.

These are drafts and have been provided to us to enable discussion at the January 2009 PSNA meeting. They will surely change before the zoning is adopted.
