Eleni Macrakis (Senior Project Manager) and Kate Gilmore (Director of Real Estate) from HRI (HomeOwners Rehab, Inc.) came to present to us regarding 28-30 Wendell Street, a 100% affordable AHO project in the Baldwin Neighborhood. This project will be an all-electric, Passive House, intergenerational community with 40 age-restricted 1-bedroom homes and 55 family homes. HRI is a local non-profit affordable housing provider. 30 Wendell Street, a former tennis court, was purchased from Lesley University in November 2023. 28 Wendell, a former Lesley dormitory and rental apartments, was purchased in June 2024. Located in the Baldwin neighborhood, the site is close to the amenities of the Massachusetts Avenue corridor, including shops, restaurants, and public transportation.
